Intel 5G chipsets

Intel is looking for place in 5G network.Delivery processors is a method . No 5G architecture inpact of Intel.Oportunity will be processors. In annual  Intel Developer Forum which was organized in San Francisco was discussion about 5G world.
Background was IOT , sensors , autonomous vehicles.

One of the output from discussion is : “We don’t know what the future will look like. If you look back to 2G networks, it was all about phones and voice, and then we started having the data revolution. By the time we were rolling out LTE [4G networks], we started requiring things that hadn’t been planned for when LTE was originally designed”
said Keddy.

Assumption  5G architecture

•  software-defined networking (SDN)
•  network function virtualisation (NFV)

5G key aspects

•  air interfaces operating at millimetre wavelengths,
•  data rates measured in gigabits per second,
•  latency down to below 1ms for an end-to-end round trip delay.
