China and 5G in 2020

China is developing 5G technology.
From China point of view is expected to have  mature 5G standards till 2020. 
 Senior mobile communications experts said.

"China has always attached great importance to participating in the formulation of international standards, and will hopefully play a leading and central role in making 5G standards," You Xiaohu, head of the Nanjing-based National Mobile Communications Research Laboratory, told Xinhua on Thursday.

China and 5G time plan 

China started research on 5G technology in 2013.
Expecting time to complete first 5G standard is till 2018.

Ericsson achieves 25 Gbps throughput in 5G field trial

Ericsson 5G radio and MU-MIMO


Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) used its 5G radio prototypes with MU-MIMO and beam-tracking to deliver more than 25 Gbps throughput in a 5G field trial, and it plans a live demonstration next week of its 5G radio prototypes at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain.

Verizon has started testing 5G technology 

Verizon already begun testing the tech for its next-generation networks, following through on a 2015 promise to carry out trials this year. 

Verizon collaboration in 5G

Verizon is collaborating on the tests with Ericsson, Intel, Nokia, Samsung, and Qualcomm as part of its own 5G Technology Forum. Samsung and Ericsson are also showing off their own 5G demonstrations at MWC.
