Equipment	5G antenna with 64 x 64 massive MIMO
Speed and latency	The highest data download speed ever measured - 3.28 Gbit/s in the 3.5 GHz (band 42) frequency band - was achieved in the broadband test.

Practical application 1: Mobile 4K TV

The real capacity and performance of a 5G network was demonstrated by the cloud-based wireless transmission of twelve parallel 4K video streams, each at about 40-50 Mbit/s, for a total broadband requirement of up to 750 Mbit/s.

Ericsson and Qualcomm and 9 main telecom operators has performed multivendor 5G interoperability test compliant with global 3GPP standard for 5G New Radio (NR) Non-standalone (NSA).

 

Main 5G operators involved in this test compliant:

• AT&T

• NTT DOCOMO

• Orange

• SK Telecom

• Sprint

• Telstra

• T-Mobile US

• Verizon

• Vodafone.

The interoperability demonstrations is an key technology milestone toward standard-compliant trials. It is also a proof point of the ongoing industry collaboration to accelerate 5G NR for commercial network launches starting 2019

NSA 5G NR specs were approved !!!


Members of 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) - ogranization focused companies invloved in development of telecom standards has created prior version of future standard 5G  . Approved standard described as  Non-Standalone 5G NR (New Radio) . In nutshell : NSA 5G NR . It's related to using for frequency bandwidth : 600 MHz, 700 MHz, 3,5 GHz and 50 GHz . Due to prior stanard version manufacturers of semiconductors responsible for connectivity and transmission can projecting 5G components.

NSA 5G NR specs were approved today at RAN#78. Balazs Bertenyi , RAN Chair called it “an Impressive achievement in a remarkably short time, with credit due particularly to the Working Groups”. News article to follow on the 3GPP site and from 3GPP Member announcements.
